Here is my first official post on my new blog! I hope to post (especially over the summer), recipes I make and photograph as well as cute items I buy/come across. My first post featurest my mom's chocolate chip cookies. This is one of the only recipes I have completely memorized as it is a stable for whenever I have friends stop by. It's so easy to do and they're absolutely fantastic! Last weekend I went to Anthropologie. If you haven't been, GO! It is the greatest store ever, if you ever want to buy me a gift, you can't go wrong with something from Anthropologie :). They have the cutest aprons there! I would wear them as dresses if they had backs to them, that's how cute they are!
Combine 2 sticks of softened butter, 1 cup of white granulated sugar and 1 cup of light brown sugar in a bowl. Add large eggs, one at a time until incorporated. Add 1 tsp salt, baking powder, baking soda, and vanilla and stir. Add 3 cups of flour and 1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips. Stir, make cookie balls, and bake in a 400 degree oven for about 8 minutes. While a glass of frothy cold milk is not required it is highly recommended.
